KIT digital announces an agreement with
Getty Images. The partnership will enable Getty Images to leverage KIT digital's VX-one platform to localize, edit, package and distribute its entertainment video content to users across the globe over multiple screens, including browser-based, mobile and tablet devices, as well as IP-enabled TVs.
Getty Images offers the most comprehensive coverage of the biggest events and personalities that serves the most influential newspapers, magazines, advertising campaigns, films, television programs, books and websites globally. Its team of world-renowned entertainment photographers and videographers capture all of the most iconic moments at award shows, premieres, film festivals, concerts, fashion shows, and parties. Getty Images offers an extensive entertainment video collection including a fully digitized archive dating to 1985.
The partnership merges Getty Images' world-class entertainment coverage and KIT's complete end-to-end technology to create and distribute short form audiovisual editorial content through KIT's VX-one platform with services that include: editing tools for transforming the raw footage into broadcast-ready clips, providing localization tools in a number of languages (e.g. English, Spanish, Swedish, Mandarin, Arabic & Polish), customization tools for modifying video with logos, headers, name slates and other graphics to meet Getty Images' and KIT's clients' preferences, automated syndication and instant/simultaneous delivery of Getty Images content in necessary IP-based protocols and formats to websites, ISPs, mobile operators, and IPTV providers globally.
KIT digital's distribution channels and media partnerships further extend Getty Images' global reach. KIT digital has been given global rights to deliver Getty Images' video content across its own network of customers through KIT's content services division.
