Broadcasting to mobile devices is one of the most relevant technological solutions to make information accessible. Various aspects of development of this technology will be considered on October 31 at the Second international forum "Mobile broadcasting. World experience and prospects of realization in the countries of Eastern Europe". The Forum is held within the context of the Integrated program of preparation to the coverage "
2012: Ukraine Presents".
The organizers of the forum are the ICT-Marketing Association, the Concern of Broadcasting, Radio Communication and Television of Ukraine (BRT Concern), the International Non-Governmental Organization Internews-Ukraine, supported by international organizations UMTS Forum, GSMA, BMCo Forum.
The first meeting of the forum will be dedicated to the analysis of projections and trends of the world mobile broadcasting market presented in speeches of the representatives of leading companies and international organizations like UMTS Forum, THOMSON, BMCo Forum, NPP Kvant-Efir. The issues of introducing mobile broadcasting in Europe and various approaches to introducing a new paradigm of services will be discussed (anywhere, any time), and realized experience of the introduction of mobile TV services will be presented. The representatives of GP UNIIRT (the Ukrainian Radio and Television Scientific-Research Institute) will tell about the aspects and prospects for mobile TV, the prospects of using "digital dividend" during the transition to digital broadcasting in Ukraine.
The second meeting of the forum will reveal the technologies of video content transfer and reception to mobile devices, the presentations will be made by such companies as Alcatel-Lucent, ROHDE&SCHWARZ, Irdeto and ISPA SAT. At the meeting the participants will decide what type of mobile TV is chosen by users, what they want to watch and what they are willing to pay for. They will also discuss the solutions of producing companies for transmission and reception of digital content to mobile devices and integrated solutions of system integrators.
The new formats of mobile entertainment, the way they are perceived by the customers and where the market of content for mobile devices is moving – all these issues will be discussed by the Ukrainian software developers at
