The stations in markets currently served by AT&T U-verse include WPIX (New York/CW), KTLA (Los Angeles/CW), KDAF (Dallas-Fort Worth/CW), KHCW (Houston/CW), WXIN (Indianapolis/FOX), WTTV/WTTK (Indianapolis/CW), KSWB (San Diego/CW), WTIC (Hartford/FOX) and WTXX (Hartford/CW).
"This agreement with Tribune allows AT&T U-verse TV customers to enjoy the variety of entertainment programming from Superstation WGN and the quality local content available on Tribune television stations in our markets across the country," said Dan York, AT&T head of programming. "We're pleased to partner with AT&T's exciting new U-verse television service by providing the programming of Superstation WGN," said Bill Shaw, general manager of Superstation WGN. "AT&T customers will benefit from the network's diverse family-friendly programming and the excitement of live sports, featuring the Chicago Cubs, White Sox and Bulls."
AT&T U-verse TV is delivered by Project Lightspeed, the company's initiative to expand the fiber-optics network deeper into neighborhoods to deliver U-verse TV, AT&T Yahoo! High Speed Internet U-verse Enabled and, in the future, Voice over Internet Protocol services using fiber-to-the-node and fiber-to-the-premises technologies.
