Medialink Worldwide Incorporated, a leading provider of diversified media services for professional communicators and marketers, announced today it will present the free webcast at 1 p.m. Eastern Time that will examine new opportunities and challenges emerging from the proliferation of Internet video. Developed to help senior marketers, corporate communicators and media strategists gain further insight into evolving media platforms, the video webcast will specifically explore new business paradigms in online video.
The interactive session will originate from Medialink's state- of-the-art global broadcast facility in New York and will be available online to registered viewers worldwide. During the hour-long live program, audience members will be able to post their questions and comments via email, enabling them to participate in the discussion. The September 27 event will be the third in Medialink's 2006 series of Web-delivered professional development programs for communications and marketing professionals that have focused on the changing landscape of broadcast and broadband media consumption.
Francisco will be interviewing a panel that will include Leslie Darling, vice president of media and entertainment for comScore Networks, a global leader in measuring the reach and impact of online media. Through its comScore Media Metrix division, the firm provides industry-leading Internet audience measurement and groundbreaking insight into online video consumption. These capabilities are based on a global cross- section of more than 2 million consumers who have opted in to comScore's research panel.
Joining Darling on the panel will be Jeremy Allaire, founder and chief executive officer of Brighcove, an open Internet TV service that empowers video producers and programmers to build broadband businesses while giving viewers more choices and control over their use of video and television.
"User-generated content and viral video fueled the excitement and convinced marketers and media strategists to move rapidly into this online video environment," stated Laurence Moskowitz, president and chief executive officer of Medialink, who also will be a webcast panelist. "Through this year's webcast series and future ones on similar topics, we hope to help Madison Avenue, and those on its related public relations thoroughfares, identify viable ways to achieve fluency with broadband video and engage consumers."
