The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF), the world's largest advocacy group for MPEG based technologies, is presenting a FREE Supersession at IBC 2006 titled "Standards Based Technologies in IPTV Ecosystems" on Saturday, 9 September 2006 between 9.30 am and 1.00 pm in Room O at the RAI Exhibition Center in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Industry experts from Alcatel, AT&T, France Telekom, T-Online, Telekom Austria, Pace, 3Vision, and Quative representing the most influential players in next generation video entertainment multimedia and standards-based delivery exchange their views on trends and technologies that are changing the way digital multimedia is created, compressed, delivered and monetized.
"All the various aspects of the IPTV Ecosystem continue to be extremely hot topics in the market place. MPEGIF has, and will carry on playing a key role in informing, promoting, and networking the IPTV industry to facilitate even wider adoption of next generation standards based technologies such as MPEG-4 AVC/H.264," commented Sebastian Moeritz, President MPEGIF (and CEO at dicas).
"For almost 5 years MPEGIF has organized Supersessions at the major events in the broadcast industry such as IBC and NAB," said David Price, Vice President MPEGIF (and Vice President at Harmonic Inc.). "These have proved instrumental in promoting the adoption of standards based solutions as television technology continues to evolve."
The format of this FREE Supersession will be two keynotes and two panels as well as a brief update on MPEGIF's activities including the MPEGIF Logo Qualification program.
The full agenda including speaker bios can be found on the MPEGIF website, which is the leading and most frequented resource for information on MPEG based technologies with millions of hits each year:
