SMiT announced at the ANGA Cable Show that they have integrated the ActiveVideo CloudTV platform with SMiT CI Plus modules to provide enhanced interactive television experiences for cable subscribers.
In its booth (#L37) at the May 4-6 show, ActiveVideo will show how, Cloud TV enables operator-branded menuing on CI Plus enabled television, even without a set top box, when combined with the Ethernet or WiFi connectivity of the host TV as a return channel. In addition, ActiveVideo will show how the solution supports the iPhone Remote Control App that is also being shown at the booth.
Currently in approximately 5 million homes, ActiveVideo immerses viewers in an engaging experience that combines Web video, Web 2.0 functionality and traditional television. With ActiveVideo and SMiT IPVOD CAM, viewers can navigate a completely interactive environment of both linear and broadband programming, including rich interfaces and graphics optimized for TV and remote control navigation; social networking; personal media; niche content; and targeted, actionable advertising.
