Online video's cost In the past three years, investors have dropped more than $8 billion into the online video market.
What did they get in return on their investments? Interactive TV Awards Three finalists named in Deutsche Tekekom's last and decisive round of the Interactive TV Awards. The decision wasn't easy for the jury but after heated discussions, but the three winners from the second round been officially announced:
- creamBOTS (Germany) Live Media Recommendation Network - "Networked World"
- Trenfield/Regner (Austria/Switzerland) PIN: An Instant Information System - "Independence of Time and Place"
- and 3-frogs (Netherlands) FamilienFun - "Family Network"
While an internal Deutsche Telekom review committee selected the 10 winning concepts from the first round, the official jury was comprised of an external team of distinguished and highly respected specialists from TV, IT and media.
The jury's task was to take an in-depth look at the concepts and prototypes of the 10 second-round participants and select the competition's three finalists. The decision was especially difficult for the jury since all 10 entries were of extremely high quality.

The announcement of the winners automatically means the start of the last round of the competition. The three finalists will further develop their prototypes based on a single-server instance and present their results to the official jury in January 2009.
