Verizon's
FiOS TV customers are now getting more online video content from Time Warner Inc. Once again, the two companies are joining forces to give consumers more programming from the TV channels they love - wherever and whenever they want it.
Following the online launch in June of two other Time Warner channels, Turner's TNT and TBS, three more channels are joining Verizon's growing FiOS TV Online service: Adult Swim, Cartoon Network and truTV. Like TNT and TBS, these new channels will feature a selection of programming available on FiOS TV Online within 24 hours after an episode airs on live television.
Earlier this week, Adult Swim became available on FiOS TV Online, featuring episodes of "The Boondocks," "The Venture Bros.," "Delocated," "Childrens Hospital" and "Metalocalypse." Within the next month, Cartoon Network and truTV will be added to FiOS TV Online with programs like "Adventure Time," "Ben Ten: Alien Force," "All Worked Up" and "The Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest."
FiOS customers who subscribe to both FiOS TV and FiOS Internet will be able to watch the programs on their personal computers or laptops - at home or away - using any broadband connection. Using their Verizon Online user names and passwords, FiOS customers will be able to access the online programming at either
www.verizon.com/fiostvonline or Time Warner dedicated websites. Adult Swim can be found at
www.adultswim.com/tveverywhere, and the URLs for truTV and Cartoon Network will be available once the programming launches.
This new content joins part of Verizon's high-quality, online video entertainment, which the company has been delivering since 2005, with other online services like Starz Play, ESPN3, Disney Connection and YES Network. In addition, FiOS TV subscribers were the first to get online access to premium services from HBO GO and EPIX.
FiOS TV offers a broad collection of programming, with more than 565 all-digital channels including up to 142 HD channels and 18,000 monthly video-on-demand titles. FiOS also provides next-generation interactive services including an advanced interactive media guide; social networking, news and entertainment widgets; remote DVR management via broadband or cell phone; and more.
