Endavo Media's President and CEO Paul D Hamm will be a featured speaker at
OTTcon East, Atlanta, June 16 – 17.
Hamm will present “Telcos: Commoditized Pipe, Or Driving Force for Planet-Wide Syndication of OTT Video?” on Thursday, June 17 at 11:15 a.m. in the Rivera Ballroom of the Atlanta Capitol Conference Center Holiday Inn Select.
"We all know the world of video is changing, and that content is being consumed everywhere through TV, PC and mobile devices," Hamm said. "I’ll be discussing how the ever-shifting media-consumption habits of consumers and the convergence of TV, online video and social media are creating exciting new business opportunities for telcos, broadcasters and content producers."
The presentation will focus on telecommunications companies seeking new revenue from enhanced video services from subscribers; content producers or broadcasters looking to syndicate programming to telco TV; and industry players assessing the OTT landscape.
Hamm will also share lessons Endavo has learned from Etisalat, a top-20 global telco currently rolling out an OTT video delivery infrastructure over its own Internet and wireless network for multi-device video distribution to more than 100 million subscribers.
During the presentation, Hamm will provide insights into:
- OTT and enhanced OTT
- Why telcos are important in the OTT consumer services ecosystem
- How telcos can quickly get in the OTT game
- 3-screen trends
- The collision of the Internet with the TV
