On March 31, 2009, under official support of Trade and Investment Promotion Section, Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kyiv, the International conference “
Digital broadcasting technologies of TV content: on the way to 2012. Ukraine and Poland: results, plans and reality” will be held.
The first and the second sessions of the conference attended by representatives of governments of both countries will be dedicated to the current situation in introducing digital broadcasting, as well as the issues of frequency planning.
On the Ukrainian part the discussion will be attended by representatives of the State Administration of Communications, the National Communications Regulation Commission, the National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting, the State Committee on Television and Radio Broadcasting, The Ukrainian State Centre of Radio Frequencies State Enterprise ("Ukrchastotnadzor") , as well as the Odessa National Academy of Communications and the Institute of Television and Radio Electronics.
On the Polish part, the representatives of the Telecommunications Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Electronic Communication Administration, the National Broadcasting Council and the State Test Institute of Communications are expected to participate.
The speakers at the session devoted to discussing the experience of implementing the projects of digital broadcasting in terrestrial, cable, satellite and IP environment, will be representatives of the BRT Concern (Ukraine), Levira JSC (Estonia), Al-Baath University (Syria), Poverkhnost TV (Ukraine), Volia (Ukraine) and Ukrtelecom (Ukraine).
At the final session, "Technological solutions for the development of digital broadcasting", practical solutions for the Ukrainian operators and providers will be presented by Conax, Alcatel-Lucent, Thomson Grass Valley, etc.
