In a project managed by SONY Europe, with Head End equipment from Tandberg Television,
Araneo's new ARD 10i iPTV Set Top Box has been chosen to deliver interactive content for the 2006 French Tennis Open Championship.
Against established competitors, Araneo have secured the contract by offering a cost effective solution with advanced specification, project customisation and delivery within aggressive timescales. The ARD10i is the latest in a range of advanced iPTV and DVB products developed by Araneo. Its specification is based on the IBM 'Power PC' processor using LINUX 'Open Source' architecture. The unit features advanced connectivity and expanded memory to improve operating speed and provide ability for advanced user graphics.
Araneo's Sales Director, Steve Lister commments "We are delighted to have been chosen for this high profile event.
