IneoQuest Technologies, the Video over IP Quality Specialists
TM, announced that
Rural Telephone Service Co., Inc., a Kansas corporation, has installed IneoQuest tools for test and monitoring of its advanced IPTV network deployment across its 35 central offices throughout western Kansas. The IneoQuest test solutions provide Rural Telephone with the necessary 24/7 network visibility for ensuring video quality of service is maintained across all video streams.
As IPTV network deployments continue to expand, driving increased content capacity, quality expectations need to be managed to ensure continued customer satisfaction. However, efficient management of large distributed IPTV networks over remote areas with multiple equipment venders requires new monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities.
"Rural Telephone was looking for a test and monitoring solution that would enable seamless content transmission over our advanced IPTV Gigabit Ethernet network to our remote headends. However, traditional layer 2 and 3 test equipment was not providing the necessary information we needed to determine how our network was performing," said Shane Broyles, Research and Development Coordinator for Rural Telephone.
